Coram Voice Independent Visitors Service An Independent Visitor is a volunteer who provides friendship and support to a Coventry child or young person in care by meeting with them once a month for activities they enjoy, such as going to the cinema, playing sports, or having a meal out. These regular visits help build confidence, self-esteem, and resilience while providing a positive adult role model. Volunteers are carefully matched with a young person based on shared interests and receive full training, ongoing support, and reimbursement for agreed travel and activity expenses. To volunteer, you must be aged 18 or over and willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
