We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to support our YMCA youth clubs at Hagard Community Centre in Willenhall on Mondays and Thursdays.
Location: Hagard Community Centre, Willenhall
Days: Monday and Thursday, 5:00–6:30pm
Age group: 9–16 years
Role overview:
To support the YMCA Youth Team in delivering safe, welcoming and engaging youth club sessions. Volunteers will help with activities, games and general session support while building positive relationships with young people.
Key responsibilities:
- Support with setting up and tidying the youth club.
- Help deliver activities, games and creative sessions.
- Encourage young people to get involved and have fun.
- Build positive and appropriate relationships with young people.
- Support the youth workers with creating a safe and inclusive environment.
- Help with refreshments and general session tasks.
- Follow YMCA safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
What we are looking for:
Someone who is friendly, reliable, approachable and enjoys working with young people. Previous youth work experience is helpful but not essential. A willingness to get involved and support the team is most important. DBS will need to be undertaken before applicant starts.
