About The Leprosy Mission

We are a global Christian charity leading the fight against leprosy in Jesus’ name. Our goal is to find communities affected by leprosy, provide the cure to prevent lifelong pain and disabilities, and ultimately see an end to the disease altogether. We focus on ten countries in Africa and Asia which have high rates of leprosy or lack the services or opportunities needed, partnering with local churches and organisations. We are looking for volunteer speakers to join our team and champion our work in local churches and groups in the Kent area, as well as nationwide. The purpose of the role is to bring awareness of the terrible impact that leprosy has on both individuals and communities and gain support for the cause. Ongoing training, support and resources are provided to volunteers by the local Community Partnerships Manager and the role is very flexible in terms of hours. We also offer our volunteers expenses, references and the exciting opportunity to visit our projects overseas.
