About Muscular Dystrophy Support Centre (MDSC)

Muscular Dystrophy is a rare, progressive muscle wasting condition that affects 110,000 people UK-wide. As the condition progresses most face reduced independence, requiring assistance from carers, mobility aids, wheelchairs, and adapted vehicles. The MD Support Centre provides specialised physical therapies and social activities to improve and maintain independence and quality of life of adults living with the condition. As only one of two Centres in England providing such services we aim to grow our reach in the Midlands and beyond to offer needed therapies to everyone living or diagnosed with MD.
