Summary

Provide great customer service by welcoming and directing visitors and callers to our Coventry office from 11am-2pm

Detailed description

We are seeking friendly receptionists to provide a first point of contact, ensuring visitors and callers feel comfortable and are efficiently directed. We are a multi-use building and as such you will be dealing with a wide range of people. Therefore, this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check, the cost of which will be covered by Radio Plus.

This Receptionist role involves greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, providing basic administrative support like filing or photocopying, and maintaining a welcoming and organized front desk. You’ll be a key team member, joining us in supporting our day-to-day operations and mission!


We have various days and times that we need volunteers so feel free to choose a slot that suits you best when applying.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Visitor Management: Warmly welcome and sign in visitors, offer directions, and inform appropriate staff of their arrival. 
  • Communication: Answer incoming phone calls, direct calls to the correct person or department, and take messages when necessary. 
  • Administrative Support: Perform tasks such as photocopying, filing, collating documents, and managing mailings. 
  • Office Maintenance: Ensure the reception and public areas are tidy and welcoming for staff and visitors. 
  • Information Provision: Provide information to visitors and callers about Radio Plus services and activities.

  • Friendly and Welcoming: A positive attitude is essential for creating a good first impression. 
  • Good Communication Skills: The ability to listen and convey information clearly, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Organisational Skills: To manage visitor flow and administrative tasks efficiently. 
  • Reliability and Punctuality: A commitment to the scheduled shifts and tasks. 
  • Knowledge and practicing safeguarding: The ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, suitability to engage with vulnerable groups such as young people or those with additional needs.
  • Basic IT Skills: Familiarity with common office software like email and word processing.
