Detailed description
This is a mentoring programme we are implementing with our Partners in Coventry and other locations across the West Midlands.
Our aim is to connect young people with life-changing opportunities. You will encourage and guide your mentee, assisting them to explore career options, increase their confidence, build their soft-skills and give them insight into the world of work.
We recruit our mentors from a variety of professional backgrounds. You do not need previous experience; as we will provide you with specialist training and on-going support. But we require the following:
- Five years general working experience, or two years if you are a graduate.
- Also eligible if you are retired or on a career break.
- Capacity to volunteer an hour a month for up to 12 months.
- Willingness to understand the issues young people across West Midlands are currently facing.
- A listening ear.
