Help support Valley House through our Community Charity Shop.
Our Charity Shop is looking for friendly and enthusiastic Volunteers to join our team and help support the work of Valley House.
The shop plays an important role raising funds that help us to continue supporting survivors of domestic abuse and their families across Coventry. By volunteering with us, you’ll gain valuable retail experience, meet new people and make a meaningful contribution to a local charity.
Time Commitment:
Flexible and to be agreed upon
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Welcoming and assisting customers
- Operating the till and handling transactions
- Sorting, pricing, and displaying donated items
- Assisting with stock management
- Creating attractive shop and window displays
- Managing and monitoring our Vinted account
- Photographing, listing, and uploading suitable donated items for sale on Vinted
- Responding to customer enquiries and managing online sales through Vinted
- Packing and preparing sold items for dispatch to customers
- Helping to ensure the Vinted account remains active, organised, and up to date
- Helping to keep the shop clean, tidy, and welcoming
- Supporting the day to day running of The Charity Shop
- Acting as an ambassador for Valley House and promoting our values
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly and approachable with good communication skills
- Reliable and willing to work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good customer service skills or a desire to develop them
- An interest in retail, charity work, or supporting the local community
- No previous retail experience is required as training will be provided

Our nursery welcomes children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old, with a team of passionate and qualified staff dedicated to providing engaging learning experiences and a fun-filled environment.
