Summary

Our role for the day is to serve refreshments to the riders taking part in the Starley Sportive bike ride. This includes serving hot drinks and cakes.

Detailed description

We are one of 3 charity Partners for the Starley Sportive, a cycling event that recognises the contributions of Coventry based inventors John Kemp Starley and James Starley to the cycling industry.

Unlike a lot commercial sportives, Starley Sportive donates 100% of the profits raised to charity!

The 3 routes, Short, Long and Epic, take riders through Coventry and Warwickshire, the Epic route taking in the Cotswolds, including Dover Hill.

All riders will start and finish at the Deeley HQ at Herald Avenue, Coventry where Zoe's Place run the refreshment stand and this is where we need you!

We have time slots throughout the day to choose from as listed below.

9:00am - 10:30am - Help set up where needed, group photos and begin to serve refreshments before the riders set off

10:30am - 12pm - Tends to be the quieter period as most riders are out on the ride, duties will be manning the refreshment stand for those who may start later/return back quickly

12:00pm-3:30pm - Busy period serving refreshment's when the bulk of the riders return

2:00pm - 5:00pm - Final riders return for refreshments

5:00pm -6:00pm - Help with pack down where required

It would be amazing if you could help for any part of the day and we would also love to offer you a Zoe's Place t-shirt to make you feel part of the team!!
