Come and volunteer and support your local community by helping Holbrooks Community Care Association revitalise their outdoor space next to Holbrooks Park.
Come and volunteer and support your local community by helping Holbrooks Community Care Association revitalise their outdoor space next to Holbrooks Park in preparation for the upcoming Bands in the Park event.
This one-off opportunity provides a great way to try volunteering in your local community. Whether you are a veteran volunteer or want to try it for the first time, come and have a go and get involved.
What you’ll be doing
- Clearing weeds and overgrown vegetation
- Tidying and preparing planting areas
- Planting bedding plants to add colour and interest
- Helping create a welcoming community space for local residents and visitors
What to bring
- Sturdy pair of shoes
- Bottle of water
Optional
- Basic gardening tools if you have any such as a spade, broom or gardening trowel
- Any bedding plants you are willing to donate
- Gardening gloves if you have any
