Help spread the word about Chat Central by delivering and displaying flyers in community venues and local organisations across Coventry.
Chat Central is a project run by Voluntary Action Coventry that helps people try new things, meet new people, and discover local groups and volunteering opportunities that match their interests.
We provide a warm welcome, a supportive environment, and plenty of opportunities for people to build confidence, make connections, and get involved in their community.
🕒 Hours: This is a flexible role requiring around 1-3 hours per month.
📍 Location: Various locations across Coventry.
Main Role
As a Chat Central Flyer Volunteer, you'll help more people discover our activities and events by displaying promotional materials in community venues across Coventry.
🤝 What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering flyers to community venues and local organisations, such as libraries, cafés, supermarkets, and community hubs.
- Displaying posters in approved locations where permission has been given.
- Letting the Chat Central team know when you've completed your allocated area.
- Identifying new venues where Chat Central information could be displayed.
- Representing Voluntary Action Coventry in a positive and friendly way.
✅ What We're Looking For
Essential
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and proactive.
- Comfortable walking around local areas to distribute flyers.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A good standard of spoken and written English.
Desirable
- Experience distributing flyers or promoting activities.
- Knowledge of local venues and community spaces where flyers can be displayed.
- Passion for helping people access local opportunities and support.
