This Volunteers’ Week, join us for a group volunteer session helping to maintain the outdoor space at Earlsdon Park Village with painting and gardening tasks.

Chat Central is a great place to try new things, make new friends and get involved in your community.

All activities are FREE and open to adults (18+) living in Coventry.

Are you curious about volunteering, but not sure where to begin?

This Volunteers’ Week 2026, come along to a friendly volunteer taster session at Earlsdon Park Village and discover how you can make a difference in your local community.

🌿 During this 3-hour session, you’ll help maintain the outdoor spaces by taking part in activities such as:

  • Staining fences and benches
  • Refreshing flower beds

🏡 You’ll also get a tour of the village and learn more about the different ways you can volunteer, including:

  • Hospitality
  • Befriending
  • Retail
  • Reception work
  • And more!

🧤 What to bring & wear:

  • Sturdy trainers or boots
  • Comfortable layers
  • A bottle of water
  • A sun hat or waterproofs, depending on the weather

No experience is needed - everyone is welcome, and all equipment will be provided. Whether you’re completely new to volunteering or looking to get involved again, this is a great chance to give it a try in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Come along, meet new people, build confidence, and celebrate Volunteers’ Week 2026 by giving volunteering a go!

Getting there

About Chat Central project

We engage adults of all ages and physical abilities from all areas of Coventry. Whether new to the city, a student from overseas, a migrant, bereaved, retired, a new parent, just out of hospital, dealing with an illness or condition that limits their ability to get out, or just out of practice with socialising and getting more active and ‘out there.’
