Help a neurodiversity CIC strengthen its finances, budgeting and financial governance, with potential to progress to a voluntary Director role.
We are looking for a skilled Finance & Accounts Volunteer to support The Autism & ADHD Advocates CIC, a Coventry-based community organisation providing neurodiversity support, psychoeducation and advocacy.
We are growing and want to strengthen our financial systems and governance as we apply for grants and commissioned funding.
The volunteer could support us with:
- Reviewing budgets, cash flow and financial procedures
- Helping us understand and monitor unrestricted and restricted funding
- Supporting grant budgets and financial reporting
- Helping develop appropriate reserves and financial controls
- Liaising with our accountant where appropriate
- Helping ensure our financial records and governance are funder-ready
- Advisising on good financial practice for a CIC
We are particularly interested in someone with experience in accountancy, bookkeeping, finance, CICs, charities or small organisations.
The role is flexible and can largely be carried out remotely. We understand that volunteers have other commitments and can agree a manageable level of involvement.
Initially this is a skilled volunteer role. For the right person, once we have worked together and there is mutual trust, there may be an opportunity to become a voluntary Director of the CIC and help shape its future development.
