Summary
A CPD-accredited course designed for educational psychologists to deepen understanding of Autism and ADHD in school settings.Detailed description
This CPD-accredited course is designed specifically for educational psychologists who work with or assess children and young people in educational settings. Grounded in lived experience and 20+ years of professional knowledge, the course offers a practical, real-world understanding of Autism and ADHD — beyond what is typically covered in diagnostic manuals or surface-level training.
Through relatable case examples, accessible language, and clear frameworks, this course helps educational psychologists:
- Recognise how Autism and ADHD present differently depending on the environment
- Understand the overlap between the two profiles (AuDHD)
- Identify common masking strategies and what is often missed during assessments
- Explore executive functioning, sensory processing, and emotional regulation in depth
- Reflect on the impact of unmet need on behaviour, self-esteem, and educational engagement
The course also provides tools to improve communication with families, advise schools more effectively, and write reports or EHCP input that truly reflect the needs of neurodivergent children.
This course will challenge outdated views and equip professionals with the knowledge to support accurate identification, early intervention, and inclusive practice.
