  • Social and compassionate home visits
  • Friendly buddy calls and telephone check-ins
  • Gardening and allotment support

  • Support for widows, single mothers, vulnerable families, and community members experiencing loneliness or hardship

Our volunteers help bring encouragement, kindness, companionship, and practical support to those who may feel isolated or overwhelmed.

Volunteer roles may include:

Together, we can help reduce loneliness, build stronger community connections, and bring hope to those who need support.

All volunteers will receive a short induction and basic training relevant to the support activities they will be involved in, including wellbeing support, buddy calls, compassionate visits, safeguarding awareness, and community engagement.

Please note that volunteers involved in home visits, wellbeing support, or direct community support roles will be required to undergo a DBS check as part of our commitment to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable individuals within the community.

We aim to provide a supportive, safe, and welcoming environment for all volunteers and community members.
