We're looking for a friendly volunteer to visit a gentleman with a learning disability in Coventry around six times a year.
We're looking for a friendly volunteer to visit a gentleman in his early 60's with a learning disability in Coventry around six times a year. He enjoys café visits and people watching, football, colouring and gentle walks.
His interests include:
- Visiting cafés for a drink and a chat
- People watching and taking in the world around him
- Watching football and other sports
- Colouring and simple craft activities
- Gentle walks in the local area
- Visiting places of interest in the community
He would enjoy spending time with a volunteer who is happy to chat, share activities and build a genuine friendship.
Availability:
- Visit approximately 6 times per year
- Visits usually last around 2 hours, sometimes shorter or longer
- Flexible weekdays or weekends
- Times arranged to suit both you and the person you support
- Opportunity to enjoy community activities, café visits and local outings
- Travel and volunteering expenses reimbursed
