Detailed description
Role Overview
The Comms & Social Media Support Volunteer helps RE(YOU)S share information clearly and consistently by distributing prepared content across our social platforms.
This role supports the Founder and the Comms volunteer by handling the administrative side of communications, scheduling posts, uploading graphics, and keeping channels up to date.
This is a support and coordination role, not a content creation, copywriting, or strategy role.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Distribution & Scheduling
- Schedule and post prepared content across RE(YOU)S social media platforms
- Share events, updates, and opportunities using supplied text and graphics
- Follow clear instructions around timing, platforms, and formatting
- Social Platform Admin
- Ensure posts are uploaded correctly and on time
- Check links, tags, and visuals are working as expected
- Flag any issues or queries rather than fixing independently
- Consistency & Support
- Help keep social channels active and consistent
- Support both the Founder and the Comms / Marketing volunteer by taking care of day-to-day posting tasks
What This Role Is Not
It is not a copywriting role
It is not a marketing or PR strategy role
It does not involve creating messaging or campaigns
It does not involve leading communications or shaping direction
All messaging, captions, and visuals are provided.
This role is about helping information travel
What Volunteers Need
- Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection
- Confidence using basic digital tools and social media platforms
- Ability to follow clear instructions and work to simple deadlines
- A steady, organised approach and attention to detail
- Comfort working behind the scenes as part of a small team
- Skills & Experience (Helpful, Not Essential)
- Experience scheduling or posting on social media
- Enjoyment of admin, organisation, and task-based work
- Reliability and good communication
- Willingness to ask questions if something isn’t clear
Time Commitment
Flexible and light-touch.
Tasks are shared as needed and can usually be completed remotely, at times that suit you.
