Support volunteers across RE(YOU)S projects, helping people feel welcomed, informed, connected, and supported.

We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help support and guide volunteers across RE(YOU)S activities and projects.

This role is people-focused and plays an important part in helping volunteers feel welcomed, informed, supported, and connected to the wider purpose of RE(YOU)S.

The Volunteer Coordinator will help people understand the organisation, explore suitable opportunities, support onboarding, and help maintain positive communication and coordination across volunteer activities.

As RE(YOU)S continues to grow, this role will help create consistency, clarity, and supportive pathways for volunteers from different backgrounds, experiences, and confidence levels.

What You Might Support With

  • Welcoming and supporting new volunteers
  • Helping volunteers understand RE(YOU)S and its projects
  • Supporting volunteer onboarding and introductions
  • Helping match people to suitable volunteer opportunities
  • Checking in with volunteers and helping maintain communication
  • Supporting volunteer discovery calls and meetings
  • Helping identify where volunteers may need additional support or guidance
  • Helping create a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Working alongside the wider RE(YOU)S team to support volunteer activities
  • Supporting organisation and coordination of volunteer information where needed

Skills, Qualities & Experience

You do not need formal qualifications for this role.

We would especially welcome someone who is:

  • Friendly and approachable
  • Organised and reliable
  • Comfortable communicating with different people
  • A good listener
  • Supportive and people-focused
  • Interested in community, participation, and inclusion
  • Comfortable using email and basic digital tools
  • Able to work with sensitivity, boundaries, and respect for others

Experience in volunteering, community work, mentoring, coordination, wellbeing support, administration, or people-facing roles may be helpful, but is not essential.

What Volunteers Gain From The Role

  • Experience supporting a growing community organisation
  • Opportunities to build coordination and leadership skills
  • Experience working within community projects and events
  • Insight into circular economy, social value, and community-led systems
  • Opportunities to contribute ideas and shape developing projects
  • A supportive and collaborative environment
  • References available following consistent involvement

Accessibility & Inclusion

We recognise that people come with different experiences, backgrounds, communication styles, and confidence levels.

We aim to create supportive and flexible volunteering opportunities where people feel welcomed, respected, and able to participate in ways that work for them.

If there is anything that would help you access or participate in this role, we are happy to have that conversation.

Some activities may involve community events, workshops, or public-facing environments.

This role may evolve over time as RE(YOU)S continues to grow and develop.

We welcome people who are interested in growing alongside the organisation and contributing to a positive, community-focused environment.
