Role Overview

The Fundraising and sponsorship Coordinator will be key in securing financial support and sponsorships for RE(YOU)S initiatives. This role involves researching funding opportunities, engaging potential sponsors, and developing fundraising campaigns to sustain and expand RE(YOU)S' community impact.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Sponsorship Development

  • Identify Funding Opportunities: Research and identify potential grants, sponsorships, and fundraising prospects.
  • Develop Sponsorship Proposals: Create compelling proposals to secure sponsorships from businesses and organisations.
  • Build Relationships with Donors & Sponsors: Cultivate and maintain partnerships with existing and potential funders.

Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Organize Fundraising Campaigns: Plan and execute online and in-person fundraising initiatives.
  • Engage the Community in Fundraising Efforts: Encourage participation from volunteers and supporters in fundraising activities.
  • Track Fundraising Success: Monitor campaign performance and report on fundraising progress.

Event Sponsorship Coordination

  • Secure Event Sponsorships: Work with businesses to obtain sponsorships and in-kind donations for RE(YOU)S events.
  • Manage Sponsorship Deliverables: Ensure sponsors receive recognition and benefits as agreements outline.
  • Collaborate with Event Teams: Work closely with the PR and event teams to integrate sponsorships into events.

Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain Funding & Sponsor Records: Keep detailed records of sponsorship agreements, donor contributions, and fundraising activities.
  • Prepare Fundraising Reports: Provide updates on fundraising progress and recommendations for future efforts.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong Communication & Networking Skills: Ability to engage and build relationships with sponsors and donors.
  • Experience in Fundraising or Sponsorship Development (Preferred): Prior experience in grant writing, fundraising, or corporate sponsorships is a plus.
  • Creativity & Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop innovative fundraising initiatives.
  • Organisational & Project Management Skills: Strong ability to track funding efforts and manage sponsor commitments.
  • Passion for Community Engagement: Enthusiasm for supporting social impact initiatives.
