EVENT SET and SET DOWN volunteer (Family-Friendly)

RE(YOU)S CIC is hosting RE(YOU)S Your Christmas, a family-friendly EX(CHANGE) event where people can access good-quality winter wear, gifts, decorations and more in a calm, welcoming environment.

We’re looking for Event Set-Up & Pack-Down Volunteers to help with the practical side of making the day happen.

You’ll be part of the behind-the-scenes team and your tasks may include:

Setting up tables, rails and chairs

Laying out items so the space feels organised and easy to navigate

Putting up signs and simple decorations

Supporting with basic lifting and moving (within your comfort and ability)

Tidying, packing away and helping return the venue to how we found it at the end

You don’t need previous experience – clear guidance will be given, and you’ll always be working alongside other volunteers or staff.

This role would suit someone who:

Likes practical, physical tasks

Enjoys being part of a small, supportive team

Is happy working “behind the scenes” rather than front-facing

Can commit to being available before the event, after the event, or both

We welcome volunteers of different ages and backgrounds. If you have any access or health needs (for example, needing to avoid heavy lifting, or needing breaks), please let us know so we can adapt tasks accordingly.
