Purpose of the Role:
To support our charity’s work by providing interpretation and/or translation services. This role helps ensure non-English-speaking individuals can fully access our service, support and activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret spoken communication between English and another language during meetings, phone calls, or support sessions.
• Translate written documents, leaflets, or forms.
• Help people we work alongside to understand key information, such as legal, medical, housing, or community support details.
• Always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Work with staff and volunteers to support communication needs.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Fluent in English and at least one other language (spoken and written).
• Good listening and interpersonal skills.
• Respectful of confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
• Previous experience in interpreting or translation is a bonus but not essential.
