Summary

Support the set-up, running, and pack down at our Women's Hub and receive free Level 2 Health and Safety Training

Detailed description

Wonder Women Wednesday is a multi-agency drop-in at our Women’s Hub where our clients can get support and information from a range of services and projects.

We are looking for a female volunteer to support the set-up, running and pack down of this group. This specifically includes:

  • completing an Aldi food shop in preparation for the group
  • setting up the room and kitchen and clearing down afterwards
  • support in the kitchen with making toasties for the women and make sandwiches for the evening outreach and drop-in.

You can also be in the main drop-in room building relationships with the women by being friendly and chatting, through mindfulness activities we put on, and carrying out basic advocacy (helping our women to express their views and wishes) if you'd enjoy this.

Wonder Women Wednesday takes place every Wednesday at our Women’s Hub, 11am-2pm. We are looking for a volunteer to attend every week, 10.30-2.30pm. This role also requires sharing the food shopping every other week with another volunteer.

Free Level 2 Health and Safety Training is provided for this role, and you'll receive a full induction and support.
