We are having an open day with guest organisations who you can speak, learn what is going on in your local area, have lunch and pudding for £1.50p.
We will be having a representative from:
- Orbit Housing who you can ask questions, raise concerns or learn about the opportunities they have to offer. Orbit Housing have some homes in the local area, some shared ownership opportunities and the tenants have support to access funding for training opportunities.
- Job shop who have an opportunity to support people back into work with work coaches, CV writing and a new "Connect to Work" scheme for disabled people, carers and Care Leavers.
- Coventry City Council Refuge Team have a fun and interactive learning experience on recycling and what you can recycle at home.
- DWP are able to advise and guide on women's retirement age and options.
- will be able to answer questions and have a few freebies which help with security and safety.
- Citizens Advise Bureau are able to offer free advice on legal, financial, housing and consumer problems.
- Coventry Independent Advice Service offer free help with Universal credit, Pension Credit, PIP and DLA claims, forms and appeals.
- Trips - information on how to book a day trip.
- Holbrooks Community Care Association and all our opportunities trips and activities as well as up and coming events.
- Youth opportunities.
We also have a social supermarket for those struggling with buying food and are on qualifying benefits.
The café is selling curry and rice or Jacket Potato and filling with a dessert for £1.50 open for all to buy regardless of income.
