We’re on the hunt for friendly, chatty folks to help bring Coventry’s history to life!
Detailed description
You’ll be hanging out in the Covered Court, where you’ll get to spend time with Dippy the Dinosaur, ancient fossils, a Victorian weaving machine, with access to our Medieval Undercroft and loads more.
If you’re into meeting new people, learning fun facts, and being part of a lovely team — this could be your thing!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Welcoming visitors to the Covered Court and thanking them as they leave
- Monitoring exhibits and reporting any issues to staff
- Engaging visitors in friendly conversation and offering insights into the displays
- Encouraging visitors to explore nearby areas of the museum
- (Optional) Assisting with visitor surveys
What We’re Looking For
- A friendly, confident, and proactive approach to engaging with the public
- Good spoken English and communication skills
- Reliability and a willingness to volunteer as part of a team
- No prior knowledge of Coventry’s history is required – just an interest and a desire to learn and share
