Summary

Join us for a Wellbeing Walk and Gardening Session, linking two community green spaces in the Willenhall/Binley area

Detailed description

Friday the 10th October is World Mental Health Day! Spending time outdoors in green spaces is a wonderful way to improve your mental wellbeing, connecting with both the community and nature. To mark World Mental Health Day, The People's Patch is running a one-off event in collaboration with another fantastic urban green space, The Rockery. We hope that this event will help improve the connections between different community green spaces within Coventry. By working towards a connected network of urban green spaces, we hope to give more people the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and connect with their local community! Further details of this event can be found on the flyer attached, or by getting in touch with us. We look forward to seeing you there!

Getting there

Join us for the whole session, or part of the session. If meeting at The People's Patch: Drive to the far end of the Alan Higgs Centre car park, where you will find the community garden by the skatepark. Alan Higgs Address: Alan Higgs Centre, Allard Way, Coventry, CV3 3AQ. If meeting at The Rockery, go to Mansfield Medical Centre, 56 Binley Road, Coventry, CV3 1JB

About Groundwork West Midlands

Working across the West Midlands, we focus our activities on communities where we can make a difference. We are committed to creating a future with community at its core, one that is vibrant and green, and in which everybody can shape their own destiny and reach their full potential. We are the community charity with a green heart.
Groundwork takes practical action to create a fair and green future in which people, places, and nature thrive.
We support local communities and businesses to build capacity and resilience as this is vital if we are to tackle hardship, achieve a just transition to net-zero and help nature recover in a way that reduces inequality and leads to better work and healthier, happier lives.
