Summary
Our new Sunday gardening sessions will now start with a gentle, 30-min well-being walk, followed by soup/refreshments, then enjoy a spot of gardening!
Detailed description
Due to the ongoing success of our fabulous Sunday Sessions, we are adding a NEW wellbeing walk to the start of the session. To help fight those winter blues, we'll run a gentle 30-45 minute wellbeing walk, followed by refreshments, and our usual gardening session. A great way to get outdoors at the weekend, and connect with like-minded people. Plus, a great way to hit that New Year's Resolution!
Important: there is no pressure to come for the whole session, or both activities. You can come for just the walk, the gardening, or even the cuppa and a chat! All ages and abilities are welcome, children must be supervised. There are also board games and crafts activities available for those who don't wish to garden - or if the weather is bad!
12.30pm: Gentle wellbeing walk (starts and ends at The People's Patch)
1.30pm: Refreshments - soup, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits provided
2-4.30pm: Gardening session (disclaimer - may not always include weeding!)
Now that our community garden is up and running, we can continue to improve and maintain the space - but only with your help! If you can't come on a Thursday, this is the perfect opportunity to come along.
 No gardening experience? No problem!
Whether you're a green thumb or just curious, everyone’s welcome. Just bring your energy and a can-do spirit! All equipment and hot drinks provided.

We are committed to creating a future with community at its core, one that is vibrant and green, and in which everybody can shape their own destiny and reach their full potential. We are the community charity with a green heart.
Groundwork takes practical action to create a fair and green future in which people, places, and nature thrive.
We support local communities and businesses to build capacity and resilience as this is vital if we are to tackle hardship, achieve a just transition to net-zero and help nature recover in a way that reduces inequality and leads to better work and healthier, happier lives.
