We are recruiting Energy Champions from South East Coventry to support residents experiencing fuel poverty and to work alongside our Green Doctors team to help

We are looking to recruit Energy Champions from South East Coventry to support residents in the community experiencing fuel poverty and work alongside our team of Green Doctors to support people to improve their circumstances.

Energy Champions will receive training to understand the causes and symptoms of fuel poverty and how to spot people who may be at risk. They will be trained in advice and guidance so that they can support people to improve issues around damp and mould, heating their home more efficiently and reducing their utility bills. Champions will be provided with a number of small energy saving measures to support members of the public with. They will work closely within their local community and relevant hubs to ensure everyone is aware of the service and how we can support. They will also work closely with the Green Doctor Team to support their role and will refer any cases that need home visits in to the service.

The knowledge, skills and references gained for this role would look great on someone's CV.

We will be running our next training sessions on June 2nd and June 16th, there will be more to follow. Your role within the community and how you work as an energy champion is flexible to meet both the needs of the community and constraints from your personal life - this can be discussed with your team leader.

Please contact us for more information and a discussion about how we could make this role work for you.
