Summary
Come along for a Nature and Wildlife themed gardening day at the John White Community Centre, developing the community garden space.
Detailed description
Groundwork West Midlands and the John White Community Centre are running a series of collaborative events across March that celebrate urban nature and green spaces. These events are free, family-friendly, and include free refreshments!
On Wednesday 4th February, we will start off strong with a Nature themed day, installing bird feeders, baths, and creating a bug hotel for the garden to the back of the John White Community Centre. All are welcome, whatever your ability. You can be an experienced gardener, or have no knowledge at all!
About Groundwork West Midlands
Working across the West Midlands, we focus our activities on communities where we can make a difference. We are committed to creating a future with community at its core, one that is vibrant and green, and in which everybody can shape their own destiny and reach their full potential. We are the community charity with a green heart.
Groundwork takes practical action to create a fair and green future in which people, places, and nature thrive.
We support local communities and businesses to build capacity and resilience as this is vital if we are to tackle hardship, achieve a just transition to net-zero and help nature recover in a way that reduces inequality and leads to better work and healthier, happier lives.
