FoodCycle cooking volunteers help to turn surplus food into a tasty 3-course vegetarian meal. No previous cooking experience is needed, just a can-do attitude!
As part of our team of cooking volunteers, you will help to turn the surplus food we receive each week into a free 3-course vegetarian meal for our guests!
No professional culinary experience is necessary as you will be guided during the session by the Cooking Project Leader, but basic home-cooking skills certainly help! Dishes we make often include soups, salads, curries, pasta bakes, stews, cakes, and crumbles - yum!
The cooking volunteering role starts at 10am and will be finished by 3:15pm. Our project runs every Wednesday but you don't need to be there every week, just the days that suit you!
To sign up to volunteer, please register as a volunteer on the FoodCycle website and sign up to the role and session you are interested in.
