Summary
Become a Seasonal Wellbeing Angel – Make Winter Brighter for Someone
Detailed description
As the days grow shorter and the nights longer, winter can be a challenging time for many of the people we support. Feelings of isolation and low mood often increase, especially for those affected by night blindness or reduced light levels.
That’s where you come in.
Our Winter Wellness service is here to bring warmth, connection, and companionship to those who need it most — and we’re looking for Seasonal Wellbeing Angels to help make that happen. If you're empathetic, confident, and friendly, and want to make a real difference this winter, we’d love to hear from you! Volunteer Opportunities Include:
- Virtual Group Hosts
Lead online chats or fun activities like quizzes to help members connect and feel part of a community.
- Seasonal Phone Calls
Brighten someone’s Christmas Day or Boxing Day with a thoughtful call to reduce loneliness.
- Winter Befrienders
Make weekly contact with a member for a friendly chat throughout the winter months.
Time Commitment
We’re looking for volunteers who can commit to a regular weekly role from late October to the end of February. Your time and care can make a lasting impact.
Why Volunteer With Us?
Volunteering with our charity is special — you’ll hear first-hand how your kindness transforms lives. Whether it’s a smile over the phone or a shared laugh in a virtual group, you’ll be helping someone feel seen, heard, and valued.
