Detailed description
Our six-week support service gives participants the chance to talk through feelings, thoughts and emotions, rather than a general chat. It offers them the space, safety and warmth to talk openly and honestly with trained advisors.
Volunteers provide support by telephone or video call usually on a weekly basis. This role involves volunteering unsupervised, from your own home. Ongoing support is available and you will also be given an induction and appropriate training.
All applicant volunteers are subject to an enhanced DBS check and must submit proof of relevant qualifications.
By joining us as an Emotional Support volunteer you will be providing a much valued service for people with a combined sight and hearing loss.
