Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteer Vinted Seller

Are you tech-savvy, creative, and into fashion? We’re looking for a Volunteer Vinted Seller to help grow our charity’s online sales and support our work with blind and visually impaired people across Coventry.

Our Earlsdon-based charity shop has recently launched a Vinted account, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys photographing and selling pre-loved items online to help get it off the ground — with the potential to expand to other platforms in the future.

As a volunteer, you will:

🤝 Work with charity staff to help set up and develop the charity’s e-commerce platforms and practices

🧐 Work with shop volunteers to thoroughly check item condition, noting any imperfections and adjusting prices appropriately

✍️ Stage and photograph products, writing clear, detailed, and accurate descriptions

📦 Pack and prepare sold items for dispatch

💬 Respond to online messages and queries about purchases, tracking, and returns

📊 Support the charity’s e-commerce work by helping create simple reports on sales and trends to identify what’s working well (and what isn’t)

Practical details

💻 You’ll use a dedicated device provided by the charity

📍 The role is based at our premises on Earlsdon Avenue South

Coventry Vision Hub is a local charity offering practical, social, and emotional support to adults with sight loss across Coventry. Our charity shop is one of our main sources of funding, so this volunteering role plays a vital part in helping us continue our work in the community.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day:

📸 Photographing clothes, shoes, bags, and other items

🔍 Checking item condition carefully and pricing items appropriately

📝 Writing appealing listings and uploading items to Vinted

🔎 Researching similar items to ensure competitive pricing

🛒 Managing online sales, with guidance from other shop volunteers

We’re looking for someone who:

📱 Is confident using a smartphone and apps (especially Vinted — with scope to use Depop or eBay in future)

👀 Has a good eye for detail and presentation

👗 Enjoys fashion, resale, or online selling

🧭 Is reliable and happy to take guidance from the Shop Manager
