Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteer eBay Seller.

Are you tech savvy, creative, and love fashion? We’re looking for a volunteer eBay Seller to help grow our charity’s online sales and support our work across the city.

Our Earlsdon-based charity has a new eBay account, and we need a volunteer who enjoys taking eye-catching photos and selling pre-loved items online to get it off the ground, with the possibility of expanding to other platforms in the future.

As a volunteer, you will:

• Work with shop staff, to thoroughly check and select items for eBay sale, determining the best cost for the listing by checking alternative sellers.

• Stage and photograph products, writing detailed, accurate, and honest descriptions is paramount.

• Collaborate with managers to optimize e-commerce processes and systems to increase profit while keeping waste and costs to a minimum.

• Prepare and pack sold items for dispatch.

• Respond to online messages and queries about listings, purchases, order tracking, and returns.

• Help inform the future direction of the charity’s e-commerce efforts by creating short reports, detailing what is working well and what needs to be improved.

You’ll be proficient in using eBay (preferably in a charity retail environments) and in using Excel to produce information reporting, designing forms and the like. A working knowledge of other online -commerce platforms is preferable.

You’ll use a dedicated device provided by the charity, and the role will be based at our premises on Earlsdon Avenue South. 

Coventry Vision Hub is a local charity offering practical, social, and emotional support to adults with sight loss across Coventry. Our charity shop is one of our main sources of funding, so this volunteering role plays a vital part in helping us continue our work in the community.
