Detailed description

CRMC are supporting our partners who are looking for volunteers to support with health projects that aim to enable and empower Refugees and Asylum Seekers to access health services by tackling health inequalities and removing barriers to health access.

We are looking for dedicated Health Champions from diverse backgrounds to volunteer and support Refugees & Asylum Seekers in Coventry.

As a Health Champion, you will:

  • Help communities navigate NHS services
  • Support timely access to healthcare
  • Reduce non-attendance at medical appointments
  • Raise awareness of health and well-being
  • Play a key role in tackling health inequalities

At the Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre we see it as our mission identify and meet the needs of refugees and migrants in Coventry through the provision of projects and services which helps them to settle into local communities, supporting effective integration and encouraging them to make a full contribution to the life of the City. We offer a range of services including, advice and advocacy, immigration support, English classes, therapy services, housing support and destitution support.
