We are looking for new volunteers! Come along to the Charterhouse and meet some of the team and learn more about what volunteering here involves.
We are currently looking for more volunteers to join our team at the Charterhouse! We are recruiting permanent and ongoing volunteer positions for all of our current volunteer roles:
House Experience
Adding sparkle to every visit- you will share stories of the Charterhouse and bring them to life, helping every visitor get the best out of their day.
Bookshop
Our bookshop helps the National Trust raise funds for dedicated conservation works at the Charterhouse, and our bookshop volunteers are involved from start to finish; from processing and pricing donations to recommending favourites in the bookshop.
Visitor Welcome
Create a positive first impression with a warm welcome; helping all visitors get all they need from their visit. You'll also help us provide a personalised thank you, leaving people with a positive lasting impression.
Collections Care and Conservation
Our Collections and House teams look after, check and document our wonderful interiors, so people can enjoy them both today and for future generations to come.
Parks & Gardens
If you love gardens, you'll know they needs lots of care and attention. Our volunteers help with the upkeep, development and protection of some of the most beautiful and important gardens and parklands in the UK- so visitors and wildlife can enjoy them.
