Summary
We need volunteers in our warehouse to help us sort and hang clothes. Hours are between 10 and 1 Monday to Friday.
Detailed description
You will take in clothes and shoes from donors and sort through them into the right gender and size. You will also make sure items we pass onto clients are in a good condition removing any rags for textiles recycling. You will also hang clothes ready to go to the shop and the charity rails where clients can choose the clothes they like. We train new volunteers on a Wednesday but we can make other arrangents if needed.
You will help us achieve our goal of making sure everyone in Coventry has appropriate clothing.
You will get to join our volunteer community and gain lots of experience of working in a warehouse. We provide references and volunteers can also take 1 item of clothing every day they volunteer ( but this must be agreed with the volunteer coordinator as some items are restricted due to shortage).

Clothes are a basic need for everyone and no one should be without appropriate clothing when WRAP estimate that 336,000 tonnes of used clothing discarded each year in the UK. We repurpose high-quality donations of clothing from our local community, ensuring that our clients have access to the clothing they need, as well as reducing waste in our city too.
