At the Central Lipreading Support Trust (CELST), we are dedicated to supporting individuals with hearing loss, regardless of age, gender, or ethnicity, across central England. Our mission is to create an inclusive and empowering environment where everyone affected by hearing loss feels supported and connected.
As a voluntary, not-for-profit charity, our primary goal is to raise vital funding to sustain existing lipreading classes and expand them wherever possible. These classes are not just about communication; they offer a lifeline, fostering confidence, independence, and community among those we serve.
We believe that hearing loss should never be a barrier to living a full and enriched life. Whether you are experiencing hearing challenges yourself, supporting a loved one, or simply have an interest in understanding more about hearing loss, CELST is here to welcome you with open arms. Together, we aim to break down barriers, promote inclusivity, and ensure that no one feels left out due to hearing difficulties.
