We are looking for an organised, proactive and creative Program Coordinator to help us turn ideas into impactful programmes for young people.

Program Coordinator

Arising Youth CIC | Volunteer / Part-Time Opportunity

About the role

We are looking for an organised, proactive and creative Program Coordinator to help us turn ideas into impactful programmes for young people.

You will play a key role in taking programmes from idea → planning → coordination → delivery → evaluation. You will work closely with the Director, volunteers, partners and facilitators to make sure every programme is well organised, engaging and delivered to a high standard.

This is ideal for someone who enjoys planning, problem-solving, coordinating people and making things happen.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Develop and structure youth programmes based on identified needs and opportunities.
  • Create programme plans, timelines, session schedules and delivery plans.
  • Coordinate facilitators, volunteers, venues, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Organise programme logistics, including resources, bookings and participant communication.
  • Support recruitment and engagement of young people.
  • Coordinate the delivery of workshops, events and activities.
  • Keep programmes on track and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate with partners and programme stakeholders.
  • Monitor attendance, participation and programme outcomes.
  • Collect feedback and help evaluate the impact of each programme.
  • Identify challenges and find practical solutions quickly.
  • Prepare short programme updates and reports.
  • Contribute ideas for new programmes, partnerships and ways of engaging young people.

We’re looking for someone who is

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • A confident communicator who can work with different people.
  • Proactive — someone who sees what needs to be done and gets on with it.
  • Comfortable coordinating people and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Creative and able to develop engaging programme ideas.
  • Reliable and able to meet deadlines.
  • Confident using tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace or similar.
  • Passionate about creating opportunities and positive outcomes for young people.
  • Ideally experienced in programme coordination, project management, youth work, community development, events or a similar area.

The person we’re looking for

You do not need to have all the answers. We are looking for someone who can take an idea and ask:

“What needs to happen to make this work?”

You should be comfortable creating a plan, bringing people together, keeping everyone on track and making sure the programme moves from an idea into something young people can actually experience.

What you’ll gain

  • Practical experience in programme and project management.
  • Experience working with community and corporate partners.
  • Opportunities to develop and lead youth programmes.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating social impact.
  • A chance to contribute to the growth of an ambitious youth organisation.
  • The opportunity to build your portfolio and professional network.
